A Killer’s Confession – Update

For those of you who have read Karen Edwards book A Killer’s Confession on this website, there is an update on how the book ended.  At the time the book was published, Karen had made a number of complaints about the conduct of officers at Wiltshire Police regarding the murder investigation of her daughter, Becky.  These were investigated by the IOPC and their findings can be found by following this link  https://www.policeconduct.gov.uk/news/iopc-managed-investigation-finds-missed-opportunities-becky-godden-edwards-murder-inquiry

It took more than five years to reach the shocking truth of what happened to the original enquiry into Becky’s murder.  At the time she and her family were at their most vulnerable, they were let down by the hierarchy in place at Wiltshire Police.

One senior officer, now a Chief Constable, received management advice.
